The whole wedding was perfect.

And I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world.

In 5 days I’ll be getting married.  I’m pretty excited that it’ll be over soon, to tell you the truth.  It hasn’t been a smooth or fun process that’s for sure.  I fully understand why wedding planners are so expensive and why people hire them anyway.  Oh well.

During the process I discovered that I have a little anger problem.  Sometimes..I get mad..for no reason (or very small reasons)..and I throw things.  I have chalked p my discovery to stress, lack of sleep and a constant tooth ache.  I’ve started grinding my teeth at night and I wake up with throbbing teeth every morning.

My Bridal Shower was yesterday and what fun that was.  I felt a little awkward being the center of attention.  We got a ton of fun stuff (my fav being the Keurig cofee maker I’ve been eyeing) and it’s nice to know that I have family and friends that were willing to spend the afternoon (and some money) with me.  I also loved the fact the my cousin Jessican got me this fantabulous robe with a dead roach in the pocket.  I’ve named him Sam.

My pops will be here tomorrow and honestly, I think aside from the fact that I’ll be Mrs. Lopez..I’m most excited about seeing him.  He’s flying down early to spend some time with me and to help me get everything done.  Then my stepmom and my little brother will be down Thursday.  FUN!

When we met we started realizing how similar we were in life.  It was so funny alike we were, it was almost as if we were seperated twins.  I kid you not, even physcially we were similar.  We met at training for work in North Carolina, we were staying at the same hotel and over the 4 days we were there we became fast and close friends.  After we left we kept in contact by email almost daily about work and life.  She was planning to come visit soon, and I had invited her to the wedding.  She wrote me a couple of weeks ago asking me for my address saying that she had bought me something and wanted to mail it to me.  I told her that was something I would do, and she said “Yeah, I know.”  I haven’t gotten what she got me in the mail, and I guess I sort of hope I don’t.

Anyways, shes gone and she died a horrible death and I can’t think of anyone else in the world that didn’t deserive it.  I hope shes making fun of me from where ever she is for being so sad over someone I didn’t know very long.

That’s about the only plus for today. I’ve had a toothache for almost 2 weeks now, and I went to the Dentist about a week ago and the Dentist couldn’t really find anything. I went back today and he decided to put a crown on, which is my first. The actual procedure wasn’t bad at all. As the Novocain wore off, I felt like shooting my jaw off. So here I sit, with a busted tooth and some crappy pain medication that sort of works.

My Christmas was awesome, as it usually is because my Dad and his family come down to visit. I took my little brother Jack to Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios. I made a deal with him that ever semester in high school he gets all A’s and B’s on his report card. This is his first semester of his Freshman year and he got all A’s and B’s, I’m trying to get him to realize how important it is to get good grades in high school so that his possibilities truly are endless for College. If I can help out by bribing, then hey..I’m in. We had a lot of fun, we brought along our cousin Scott who is an awesome kid. I’m hoping that next semester I can fly up to Vermont and take him to a good concert. I’m missing them heaps and heaps, and I’m really starting to wish they didn’t live soo far away. Georgia, SC would be better.

I got a Nikon D40X for Christmas, so I’ve been trying to learn as much as I can about it. It’s been fun, I really like it. Hopefully I’ll be posting more and more pictures. I think we’re gonna try and take trip down to Shark Valley in the Everglades this weekend, if the weather is nice.

I am, however, getting married May 3rd!  Why?! Because we are buying our first house!! We hope to be able to start moving in the first few weeks of February.  I didn’t want to deal with the stress of moving AND getting the final details worked out for the wedding, so we’ve put it off just for a couple of months.  Not to mention that I guess I’m the only person in the universe that wants to have a celebration with friends and family, but NOT SPEND A GAZILLION DOLLARS ON ONE DAMN DAY.  Seriously, wedding industry? Why does it cost an arm and a leg to have a fun party??

Nena will have a nice fenced in yard to run around in, and we will have a real live guest room AND an office.  We’ve decided that we’re going to get a little brother for Nena as soon as we’re settled.

We’ll have a place to park our boat, and a neat little storage shed.  The back yard has an avacodo and orange tree.  I want to get one of those cool fire pits and some wood chairs to hang out in the backyard.  OH! and the kitchen…is beautiful.  I will post pictures..

Wish me luck internet, I guess this is really adulthood.  Next up: Wedding and then bow chicka bow wow..hopefully that will get us some rug rats on the way.

Thursday was the 4 week mark of mission: Get Emmy Hot Again.  I’ve lost 20 lbs! I’d like to get back to this size:

Which is about another 40 - 50 lbs.  I’m hoping to do this by March 15th, which some of you may know is when I’m getting married.  I’ve been working out pretty hard at the gym with a personal trainer and eating mostly protein and veggies, only about 800 - 900 calories.  I’m doing a weight loss program that is Dr. supervised and I’m also on medication.  I’ve had to have lots of medical tests and blood drawn and throughout that process I found out that I have a hypothryoid problem.  I’m on medication for that too, and it has really helped me feel better.

I haven’t drank for 2 months either and while my life has become somewhat boring, I keep telling myself that it will all be worth it.

Halloween just passed and the better half and I dressed up as Ceaser and Aphrodite.  I think its kinda funny that Ceaser was killed on March 15th and thats the day we’re getting married.

I however was the goddes of love, so I can assure you that I won’t be killing my Ceaser.
